I’ve recently discovered Hulu.com. Hulu brings together a large selection of videos from more than 100 content providers, including FOX, NBC Universal, MGM, Sony Pictures Television, Warner Bros. and more. Virtually all of the shows that I would want to watch are available.
I’m even able to watch it on my TV via my Mac mini, which I have attached to the TV. The experience has been so positive that I’ve canceled my cable (reduced to only Broadband internet service) and haven’t looked back.
Now, if only Hulu would work on Apple TV I’d have everything I’d want. For now I’d settle for some way to control Hulu using the Apple Remote. As it stands right now I have to use my laptop and RemoteDesktop to control the Hulu interface. This isn’t that big of a deal as I can kick off my play “queue” using the laptop and kickback without having to touch it again.

For those of you that were fans of EclipseME, an open source plugin for Eclipse that provides the best J2ME development experience, has become a formal Eclipse project. This is fantastic news as it was previously the sole responsibility of Craig Setera, the original creator, to maintain the tool in his free time. Now that is it formally supported by the Eclipse Foundation and a large number of corporation that contribute resources to help advance the platform. Today, Eclipse announced that the project has release its first major milestone.
Congratulations to Craig and all the Eclipse MTJ team!

A good friend of mine, John Muchow, has started a fantastic resource for iPhone developers called iPhoneDeveloperTips.com. Recently he has invited me to contribute to the blog. Moving forward I’ll move all my iPhone posts to that site and keep my blog focused on mFoundry and other random rants and opinions about Mojax and the mobile industry.

Its been a very busy couple of months lately. I’ve not gotten to blog at all but I have started to really immerse myself in all things iPhone. After a very successful launch of our mBanking client for iPhone it became clear that the iPhone was going to be a critical platform for us to support. Naturally I’ve already started to port Mojax over, but before I got too far down the path I decided to have a little fun first and build an application that was a little easier to “bite off and chew”. Over on the right are screenshots of what I hope will be the first iPhone application for reading and posting to Jaiku.
